What good thing must I do that I can enter Eternal Life?
Mat 19:16-19 Now behold, one came to Him and said, “Teacher, what good shall I do to have eternal life?” “Why do you ask Me about what is good?”
Yeshua said to him. “There is only One who is good; but if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
“Which ones?” he said. Yeshua said, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’”
Yeshua told the young man what you must do to have eternal life. He gave 5 examples from the Covenant that had to do with our relationship with others. The first 4 Commandments have to do with our relationship with the Father.
If Yeshua meant all the rules in the Old Testament, wouldn't He have said that, or giving examples of 4 of the 5 rules not from the Covenant?
The 10 Commandments are our wedding Covenant. Much like an earthly marriage, there are no break rules like cheating on your spouse, hitting them. Other's you should do like give birthday presents, take care of them, but you wouldn't leave your spouse over.
Mat 5:19 Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever keeps and teaches them, this one shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, and drive out demons in Your name, and perform many miracles in Your name?’
Then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Get away from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’”
In Hebrew, if the word Love is used twice, it would be like we would say, I love you very much. So they are not just saying lord once like a non believer would.
Notice, the works they do. They are on fire.
Mat 13: 41-43 The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all the offenses, and those who practice lawlessness.
And they will throw them into the furnace of fire; there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.
Then the righteous will shine out like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. The one having ears to hear, let him hear.
I believe the word lawlessness means, No covenant. Remember Revelations says the remnant keep the Commandments and faith in Yeshua.
It was the custom for a man to ask a woman to marry him with a cup of wine. He would ask her and take a sip and then give her the cup. If she drank from it, she was agreeing to be his bride.
He would tell her I'm going to my father's house to prepare a place for you. When he was done adding on his father's house, he would return for her.
Back then this was like marriage today, but not having been together physically. So breaking this Covenant ending canceled it.
The parable of the 10 virgins, notice the number 10 to make you remember the Covenant. They all are virgins, and can marry.
I think the foolish that didn't have enough oil in their lamps are non believing Jews that are looking for His first coming. The oil is used to anoint, and that is what the word Messiah means.
The Commandments are a lamp to our feet, but there is no LIGHT without Yeshua.
Out of this Covenant, one is a SIGN of the of the Covenant. They all should be on our forehead and hand.
The Beast has his mark or sign on people's head. BLESSINGS
